Pipe clamp generator: DIN 3015 clamp jaws and two-hole saddles
Enter the pipe's outside diameter — 20 mm by default — and get either the plastic jaws of a DIN 3015-1 light-series clamp, sized from the standard's table with M6 bolt holes, or a one-piece two-hole saddle strap for screwing a pipe or conduit to a wall. The DIN jaws stand apart by the standard's tension clearance, so tightening the bolts grips the pipe.
The size the generator picks at the default 0.4 mm clearance, with the jaw-pair length, M6 bolt spacing and height from STAUFF's table (all 30 mm wide). Each row opens the generator on that pipe.
PPR water pipe: 20 (½"), 25 (¾"), 32 (1"); a bore that would leave under 0.5 mm of plastic beside a bolt hole moves up one size.
What's in the STEP file
- A DIN 3015 jaw exports as one exact solid of 10 faces — 7 planes and 3 true cylinders (the half bore and the two M6 holes) — the same jaw twice in the file. The saddle is 18 faces: 12 planes, 4 cylinders and 2 cones for the countersinks.
STEP AP214 in millimetres, exact B-rep — it opens directly in SolidWorks, Fusion, FreeCAD, Onshape or Inventor, and goes straight into a CNC quote form. STL for the slicer is one click too.

Put the numbers in the link
Every parameter is a link parameter; the link below opens the example part. ChatGPT, Claude or any assistant can write one like it from the parameter list (names, units, ranges) at: parameter list (JSON)
Press “AI edit” in the generator and say what to change — a keyway, holes, a different shape. The AI edits the part's model.py and it rebuilds in your browser, with undo. A few edits a day are free without signing in; to keep the result or go further, copy it into your models and continue with the AI agent.
For bigger changes, several rounds, or a part you want to keep: copy it into your models (free account). The Forgent3D AI agent reads the model.py, edits it, rebuilds it and checks the result itself.
1.Open the generator — the model builds right in your browser, nothing to install.
2.Tune dimensions and options in the parameter panel; the geometry rebuilds live in 3D.
3.Export STL / STEP for printing — or ask the AI agent for features beyond the sliders.
FAQ
What do I need besides the printed jaws?
A DIN 3015-1 clamp is the two jaws between a steel cover plate on top and a weld plate (or rail) underneath, held by two M6 bolts; size 3 uses M6 × 40. The plates and bolts are standard bought parts — the generator makes the plastic jaws.
How far apart should the clamps be?
HYDAC's recommended spacing for light-series clamps grows with the pipe: 1.0 m up to 12.7 mm, 1.2 m to 22 mm, 1.5 m to 32 mm, 2.0 m to 38 mm, 2.7 m to 57 mm, 3.0 m to 75 mm.
Why is there a gap between the two jaws?
That is DIN 3015's tension clearance (0.4–0.8 mm by size on STAUFF's bodies): the jaws touch the pipe before they touch each other, so tightening the bolts clamps the pipe. Leave it — don't sand the faces flat.
How do I get a DIN 3015 clamp for a 20 mm tube?
Open https://www.forgent3d.com/en/generators/pipe-clamp-generator?PIPE_OD=20 — the two plastic jaws of a size 3 light-series clamp: 50 × 30 mm, M6 bolts 33 mm apart, a 20.4 mm bore. The steel cover and weld plates and the bolts are bought parts; export STEP to place it in CAD.
I need a two-hole strap for 25 mm conduit with M4 screws.
https://www.forgent3d.com/en/generators/pipe-clamp-generator?TYPE=saddle&PIPE_OD=25&SCREW=M4 — a U strap 25 mm wide with countersunk M4 holes in both tabs. It prints on its side so the layers run around the arch.
Can I sell prints made with these generators?
Yes. Models you generate and the STL / STEP files you export are yours: print them, sell the prints, or use them in a product. No attribution to Forgent3D is required.
