Phone stand generator: a desk stand that fits your phone and its case
Enter your phone's thickness measured over its case — 11 mm by default — pick the viewing angle and how high the ledge sits, and get a one-piece A-frame stand like the most-downloaded printed ones. The backrest is long enough to support the phone past its middle, a gap in the front lip leaves the charging port and the bottom of the screen free, and the cable leaves through an opening at the back that the plug passes through.
- Exports as one exact solid of 33 faces: 27 planes and 6 true cylinders (the two rounded bends at the top and the four recesses for rubber feet).
STEP AP214 in millimetres, exact B-rep — it opens directly in SolidWorks, Fusion, FreeCAD, Onshape or Inventor, and goes straight into a CNC quote form. STL for the slicer is one click too.

Every parameter is a link parameter; the link below opens the example part. ChatGPT, Claude or any assistant can write one like it from the parameter list (names, units, ranges) at: parameter list (JSON)
Press “AI edit” in the generator and say what to change — a keyway, holes, a different shape. The AI edits the part's model.py and it rebuilds in your browser, with undo. A few edits a day are free without signing in; to keep the result or go further, copy it into your models and continue with the AI agent.
For bigger changes, several rounds, or a part you want to keep: copy it into your models (free account). The Forgent3D AI agent reads the model.py, edits it, rebuilds it and checks the result itself.
1.Open the generator — the model builds right in your browser, nothing to install.
2.Tune dimensions and options in the parameter panel; the geometry rebuilds live in 3D.
3.Export STL / STEP for printing — or ask the AI agent for features beyond the sliders.
FAQ
My phone in its case doesn't fit the stand I printed.
That is the most common complaint about printed phone stands, and the "for thicker phones" versions of popular stands are downloaded more than the originals. Measure your phone over its case and enter that; the ledge adds 1 mm of clearance.
How do I charge it while it stands?
Keep the cable slot on and raise the rest height until your plug fits under the phone; bent plugs need less. The rear opening is larger than the USB-C plug keep-out Apple specifies (12.45 × 6.60 mm), so the plug passes through it, and the gap in the lip leaves the port and the bottom of the screen free for swiping.
How do I print it?
Lay it on its side in the slicer, so the profile is on the bed: no supports, and the layers run along the bends. Stick four 8 mm silicone feet into the recesses underneath if it slides on your desk.
How do I 3D print a phone stand I can charge in while it's upright?
Open https://www.forgent3d.com/en/generators/phone-stand-generator?THICKNESS=12&REST_HEIGHT=35&WIDTH=80 — the ledge sits 35 mm above the desk so a USB-C plug fits under a portrait phone, a gap in the front lip leaves the port free, and the cable leaves through an opening at the back that the whole plug passes through. Set THICKNESS to your phone measured over its case.
Can the same stand hold a tablet in a thick case?
Yes: https://www.forgent3d.com/en/generators/phone-stand-generator?DEVICE=Tablet%2C%20landscape&THICKNESS=16&WIDTH=100 — the backrest is sized for a tablet held landscape (179.5 mm, an 11-inch iPad's width) and the ledge takes 16 mm with the case. Stands of this shape are sold for tablets the same way, with a wider ledge.
Can I sell prints made with these generators?
Yes. Models you generate and the STL / STEP files you export are yours: print them, sell the prints, or use them in a product. No attribution to Forgent3D is required.
